Why doesn't the Volume I bought have the space I paid for?

Hello,

I purchased a 500gb volume and followed the config instructions integrated into the user interface. Namely:

# Create a mount point for your volume:
$ mkdir -p /mnt/volume_nyc3_01

# Mount your volume at the newly-created mount point:
$ mount -o discard,defaults,noatime /dev/disk/by-id/scsi-0DO_Volume_volume-nyc3-01 /mnt/volume_nyc3_01

# Change fstab so the volume will be mounted after a reboot
$ echo '/dev/disk/by-id/scsi-0DO_Volume_volume-nyc3-01 /mnt/volume_nyc3_01 ext4 defaults,nofail,discard 0 0' | sudo tee -a /etc/fstab

The volume mounts but when using findmnt command we see that the mnt only have 300 megabytes:

root@ubuntu-s-2vcpu-4gb-120gb-intel-nyc3-01:~# findmnt  /mnt/volume_nyc3_01

/mnt/volume_nyc3_01 /dev/sda ext4   rw,noatime,discard

This is a fresh volume. I don’t think it should need to be resized. What is wrong? I need 500gb not 300mb!
